Company:

Janatek has been designing and manufacturing PC-based logic analyzers for more than ten years and has established a proud reputation for reliable products and good customer support.

Design Philosophy:

Our design philosophy is to produce products of top-quality and reliability, aimed at the electronics professional. By using our products our clients can be sure of excellent signal integrity and can have confidence in measurements taken, thereby completing electronics projects in the most efficient way.

Since cost effectiveness is a balance between a good a product and a good price, our primary design aim is to provide quality instruments at a competitive price. This might be placed in contrast with alternatives where the primary design objective is simply to be "cheap". When the lowest price is an instrument manufacturer's main objective, quality and the more costly functionality (such as sufficient memory depth) and even vital accessories (such as test clips) are invariably sacrificed. Signal integrity aspects are discarded, such as proper power filtering, noise decoupling, grounding planes, using components aimed at self-calibration/diagnostics, using gold probe contacts instead of tin, quality probe leads, etc. These aspects, when ignored to save money in the short run, may result in the the user ending up debugging problems, such as glitches, that originate in his measuring instrument and not in the hardware that he is actually trying to debug. This might proof expensive in the long run.

All our products are packaged to be complete so that you can start doing measurements within minutes after opening your parcel. The software is developed to minimize the learning curve and being as easy to use as possible without sacrificing functionality. Our software is also to a great extent a reflection of requests received from our users.
